I along with Swati Mahawar have decided to start an online personalized E-retail store in which we take photographs from the customers and imprint them on coffee mugs, photo frames ,T-shirts, Bed sheets, Hankies, Towel, calendar, mobile pouch etc. as per the customer requirement on specific occasion.
We plan to establish vendor base initially in Mumbai to target our prospective customers, the upper middle class and students of different colleges in Mumbai. For the home delivery purpose we plan to contact various courier service providers in those areas. We will be creating our own site displaying all the services of our online E-retail store. We will also promote our store by creating a Facebook page and by advertising through friends.
Going for further expansion we will tie up with different websites like “Ferns and Petals” that delivers cake and gifts online so that we can also deliver our personalized gifts. Our aim is to provide the customer with one stop shop experience.
For the finance part of the business, we would require around Rs 5,000/- for initial inventory of all the items. It also included the travelling expenses that would be bared during vendor development.
Advertising would be done through facebook and word of mouth. We would also buy a space worth Rs 5000/- with google ads.
We expect the sales to start within a months time after the launch of our web portal. With the huge customer base we forecast our sales to be worth Rs 2000 in the 1st month and that would increase to 4500 in the subsequent month. The sale should shoot upto Rs 10,000/- in the third month. The sales would rise exponentially in future.
We would work with a profit margin of 20%. We estimate to reach our break even within 3 months time.
Sorry.. an MBA's E plan cannot be so SHABBY.. It is really BAD.. I felt sorry to see such a plan..
